The very first session involves getting to tell your story. This begins as the initial assessment- a process of us getting to know each other and coming to an understanding of where your story has led you and where you would like it to go next.
Utilizing an evidenced-based approach to understand your story and support you through what you are working to overcome- my approach is strengths-based and includes elements of family systems, ACT, DBT, CBT mindfulness-based stress reduction and expressive therapies.
Following sessions are often scheduled weekly or biweekly but can also be scheduled as needed based on your availability and level of need. Since sessions are virtual at this time try and find a comfortable area that provides you with privacy and a sense of calm if possible.
